Revealed at CES 2012, the AppRadio 2 from Pioneer promises to be the latest and greatest marriage of smartphone and in-auto audio systems. If you loved the original AppRadio, don’t worry. You will get more of the same with this incarnation. But add on the option of micro HDMI connection and Mobile High Definition Link, as well as Android smartphone compatibility (for most models), and you’ve got a non-Apple product that gives the Job-ites a run for their money.

With a 7-inch touchscreen display at 800 x 480 pixels, the option to mount a back camera on your vehicle, and automatic Bluetooth capabilities for those of you paranoid about hands-on calling, this is a radio device that hammers home convenience and safety above all else. It can also coordinate with steering wheel controls and add on external amplifiers. All for the low price of $499, and coming your way in April 2012.
